Blickwechsel is an improvisation project originally invented by dancer and choreographer Henrietta Horn and organ player and pianist Matthias Geuting, where I was invited to participate. I was sceptical at first, and not trusting the concept of free improvisation really much, especially when several forms of art (dance, music, performance) come together. Nevertheless I tried. I took the maxpatch from ReMix, enhanced it with the possibility of live-sampling, changing sound files on the flight and so on and had a lot of fun with it.
Blickwechsel saw 3 performances in January 2019 at the “Neue Saal West” of Folkwang University of the Arts and was invited to Göteborg (theatre “3:e Våningen) in March for another two performances, albeit with a much smaller ensemble (Only two more dancers, Lea Thomen and Keisuke Mihare, beside Henrietta, Matthias and me). Two more performances in November 2019 at the iDance festival in Taipei reduced the ensemble to the minimum of Henrietta Horn and me
