manic he chain me is the second part of the “Essener Trilogie” (first and third by Dirk Reith and Günter Steinke) which in turn is part of the project “Hybride Musik für Menschen und Maschine” which comprises also compositions by Roland Pfrengle, Tom Johnson, Masahiro Miwa, Schaun Tozer und Adachi Tomomi. The project is centered around the music machines by Martin Riches and was initiated by Roland Pfrengle and Martin Riches. It has been performed at the NOW! Festival 2013 at Philharmonie Essen as well as at the Aishi Arts Center in Nagoya and the Asahi Arts Square in Tokio in February 2014. The Essener Trilogie has been performed by the KNM Berlin directed by Titus Engel (Essen) and Manuel Nawri (Japan)
